Trade Structure at an Inflection Point: Clearing, Capital & Operational Readiness

As clearing models, capital rules, and collateral structures evolve simultaneously, securities finance is approaching a critical inflection point. This session examines the current state of CCP access, including bank participation, UST clearing implications, and developments across OCC, DTCC, and European venues. Panelists will explore whether asset segregation represents a meaningful breakthrough for beneficial owners unable to access CCPs, or whether balance sheet and ratio constraints continue to limit impact. The discussion will also assess regulatory developments such as equity for equity and evaluate whether the industry is operationally prepared to move from bilateral to tri-party.

The conversation will also highlight what internal stakeholders across trading, legal, risk, and product teams are focused on today.
