FinTech & Innovation Committee (FIC)

The FinTech and Innovation Committee (FIC) is a forward-looking industry group focused on advancing the financial services sector’s understanding and adoption of emerging technologies. We provide strategic insights, promote leading practices, and develop frameworks to support the responsible implementation of innovative solutions. Our work centers on the practical application, governance, and impact of new technologies across areas such as Trading, Collateral Management, Funding, Lending, Clearance, and Settlement.

By fostering collaboration among a diverse range of market participants – including agents, beneficial owners, borrowers, institutional investors and FinTechs – we create a platform for open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and the development of industry standards that encourage innovation while addressing risks. This inclusive approach ensures balanced perspectives and helps shape the future of securities finance in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Frequency: Regular

Requirement: Member firms can apply to join the group, however regular attendance and active participation in relevant meetings is a prerequisite (ISLA Americas reserves the right to modify attendance based on the current composition).
